The Arizona Blade is the fly in the ointment of Arizona politics. We are an independent publication focused on documenting political power, the Arizona Democrat media complex, and the news the ruling class wants buried.

We began in 2014 as ARIZONA INFORMER, when social media allowed direct confrontation with politicians, media talking heads, and institutions which yielded actual results. That era is long gone. Platforms now reward conformity, protect insiders, and memory-hole facts that threaten protected interest groups.

So we adapted.

The Arizona Blade is a publication built for accountability, not access. We don’t chase algorithms, invitations, or partisan approval. In fact, our goal is to be proactively disinvited to every political cocktail party in Arizona.

No fanboys. No fixers. No favorites.

We will criticize the powerful and influential whenever necessary regardless of partisan affiliation. We don’t do hero worship here, and find cults of personality nauseating. We preserve facts and stay on issues long after the news cycle moves on.
